CHAP. 11.—An ACT to permit the Warrenton and Fairfax Turnpike Com-
pany, Inc., to surrender to Fairfax county the section of its road from
Fairfax to Centreville in Fairfax county, and to authorize the board
of supervisors of Fairfax county to issue to said company for said
section of road the notes or bonds of Fairfax county for $8,000 00,
payable out of county levy. fH B 33]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the Warrenton and Fairfax Turnpike Company, Inc., be and it
is hereby authorized to surrender to the county of Fairfax, that
section of its road beginning at the corporation limits of the
town of Fairfax and extending to the intersection of the said
road by the road leading from Centreville to the town of Manas-
sas, for the consideration agreed between the stock-holders of
said company and the board of supervisors of Fairfax county
of eight thousand dollars and the board of supervisors of Fair-
fax county is hereby authorized to issue to said company the
bonds or notes of and for Fairfax county for the sum of eight
thousand dollars, payable in installments of one thousand dol-
lars each, with interest at the rate of five per cent per annum,
payable semi-annually, the first installment to be payable Janu-
ary first, nineteen hundred and twenty, and thereafter annually,
with interest from January first, nineteen hundred and twenty,
and said installments of principal and interest shall be payable
cout of county levy.
2. The said section of road shall, upon the delivery of said
notes or bonds, forthwith become a part of the highway system
cf Fairfax county, as it existed before it was taken over by said
company.
8. An emergency existing in order that the consideration
to be paid for said road may be used in the improvement and
construction of the residue of the road of said company as agreed
upon between said board of directors and the board of supervis-
ors of Fairfax county. this act shall be in force from its passage.
