1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia. That th
sum of twenty-five thousand dollars be. and the same is hereby, ap
propriated to the State farm, out of any monies in the treasury no
otherwise appropriated. to meet. the deficit in maintenance for th
fiscal year ending February twenty-eighth, nineteen hundred anc
eighteen. |

9. An emergency existing by reason of the fact that the con
victs will otherwise suffer for the necessities of life. this act shall b
in force from its passage.
