Chap. 425.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2 of an act entitled an
act to establish a public free school on the grounds of the Prison Associa-
tion of Virginia, at Laurel, Henrico county, and to make an appropria-
tion for erection and equipment of the schoolhouse, and to provide for
the conduct and maintenance of the same, approved March 16, 1908.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
section two of an act entitled an act to establish a public free school
on the grounds of the Prison Association of Virginia, at Laurel,
Henrico county, and to make an appropriation for erection and
equipment of the school house, and to provide for the conduct and
maintenance of the same, approved March sixteenth, nineteen hun-
dred and eight, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
Section 2. Said school shall be under the control of the board of
directors of the Prison Association of Virginia. Said scholars shall
attend said school at least three hours a day, Saturdays and Sun-
lays excepted. Said association may permit any scholar to attend
for a greater period than three hours per day, but nothing herein
shall be construed to take away from said association any authority
or control over the boys and youths under its control, except as
ubove stated.
