Chap. 36.—An ACT to authorize the appointment of one additional commis-
sioner in chancery for the circuit court of the city of Norfolk. [S B 8]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
circuit court of the city of Norfolk. or the judge thereof in vacation,
is hereby authorized to appoint one additional commissioner in chan-
cery, who, if practicable, shall be a stenographer, with the same
powers and duties as those already authorized by law.

2. The services of an additional commissioner in chancery being
needed, an emergency is declared to exist and this act shall be in
force from its passage.
