Chap. 244.—An ACT prohibiting boating, fishing, hunting, gunning and skat-
ing in, or over the waters of any lake, pond or reservoir used as, or in
connection with, the public water supply of any city in this Common-
wealth, having by the last United States census a population of more
than nineteen thousand inhabitants, without the consent in writing of
the city, or water supply company owning such lake, pond or reservoir,
or entitled to use the waters of the same in connection with its water
supply, and providing the penalties for the violation of the same.

Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall
% unlawful for any person to boat, fish, hunt, gun or skate, in,
m or over the waters of any lake, pond or reservoir used as, or in
onnection with, the public water supply of any city in this Com-
nonwealth, having by the last United States census a population
yf more than nineteen thousand inhabitants, without the consent in
vriting of the city or the water supply company, owning such lake,
ond or reservoir, or entitled to use the waters of the same in con-
ection with the water supply of any such city.
Any person violating the terms of this act shall be deemed guilty
yf a misdemeanor and shall be punished for each offense by a fine
f not less than ten dollars nor more than one hundred dollars,
r by imprisonment in jail not exceeding thirty days, or by both,
t the discretion of the court.
