Virginia relative to certain allowances for jailers. [S B 275]

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of virginia, That sec-
ion four thousand and seventy-seven of the Code of Virginia rela-
ive to certain allowances for jailers be amended and re-enacted so
is to read as follows:
Sec. 4077. When Jailer to Summon Guard for Jail; Allowances
Therefor by Court.—When ordered by the court to do so, or it is
n his own opinion necessary for the safekeeping of a prisoner under
charge of, or sentence for, crime, the jailer shall summon a sufficient
yuard and the circuit court of the county, or the corporation court
»f the corporation in which the jail is, may allow therefor so much
is it deems proper, not exceeding two dollars per day for each man.
