Chap. 74.—An ACT making valid the recordation of deeds and other writings
of corporations, heretofore executed or recorded, upon certain certificates
of acknowledgments of the parties thereto by officers of such corpora-
tions, and to validate acknowledgments taken by notaries public holding
commissions for cities but residing in counties in which said cities or
parts thereof, are located. (8S. B. 58)

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
recordation of all deeds and other writings of corporations authorized by
any law to be recorded, heretofore executed or recorded, upon certificates
of acknowledgments of any of the parties thereto by officers of such
corporations authorized by law to certify acknowledgments whether such
officers must unite in executing such deeds and other writings or not,
and that acknowledgments heretofore taken by notaries public holding
commissions for cities but residing in counties in which said cities, or
parts thereof, are located, shall be held valid and effective in all respects,
if otherwise valid according to law in force at the time of such
recordation.
