Chap. 48.—An ACT to authorize the council of the town of Emporia to aid
the county school board of Greenville county in the construction of a
school building in the said town. (H. B. 156.)

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the council of the town of Emporia may appropriate out of the
town treasury a sum not exceeding five thousand dollars to aid the
county school beard of Greensville county in the construction of a
new school building on the grounds of the Greensville county high
school, located in the said town of Emporia and the said council
may require, in consideration of such aid, that a portion of the said
building be used as a town hall upon such terms as may be mutually
agreed on by the said town council and said county school board.
