Chap. 40.—An ACT to appropriate for the fiscal years 1914 and 1915 the
sum of $5,000.00 from the treasury of the State of Virginia in aid of the
Home for Needy Confederate Women, located in the city of Richmond,
at number 3, East Grace street. (S. B. 75.)

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the auditor of public accounts be and he is hereby empowered and
instructed, to draw his warrant annually upon the treasurer of the
State for the two years, nineteen hundred and fourteen and nine-
teen hundred and fifteen, in favor of the Home for Needy Con-
federate Women, a corporation created by an act of the general as-
sembly of Virginia approved March the third, eighteen hundred
and ninety-eight, for the establishment and conduct of a home for
needy widows, wives, daughters and sisters of confederate soldiers
for the sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000.00) to be by said cor-
poration expended for needy widows, wives, daughters and sisters
cf confederate soldiers, the said corporation to report annually to
the State auditor under the signature of the president and treasurer
of said corporation, the exact work done in caring for said widows,
wives, daughters and sisters of confederate soldiers.
