Chap. 196.—An ACT to lega‘ize the donation of the sum of $1,500 by the
council of the town of Claiksville, Virginia, to the district school board
of Clarksville magisterial district, for the purpose of aiding in the con-
struction of a public high school bui.ding in said town and district.

Whereas, the council of the town of Clarksville, in the county
of Mecklenburg, Virginia, did on the twelfth day of August,
nineteen hundred and thirteen, pursuant to a petition of a
majority of the taxpayers of said town, donate out of funds
belonging to said town the sum of fifteen hundred dollars to the
district school board of Clarksville magisterial district for the
purpose of aiding said board in the construction of a public high
school building in said town and district. Now, therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the action of said council in making the donation aforesaid be, and
the same is, legalized and confirmed as fully and completely as if
the said council had been theretofore authorized so to do by statute
in such case made and provided.
