Chap. 191.—An ACT defining the territorial] jurisdiction of the chancery
court of the city of Richmond as a court of probate and registry.
(H. B. 511.)
Approved March 21, 1914.
Whereas, since the consolidation of the cities of Richmond and
Manchester, heretofore effected according to law, a doubt exists
as to the territorial jurisdiction of the chancery court of the city
of Richmond as a court of probate and registry; now, therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the territorial jurisdiction of the chancery court of the city of
Richmond as a court of probate and registry shall extend to and
include only that part of said consolidated city of Richmond here-
totore or hereafter lying north of the southern boundary of said city
of Richmond prior to said consolidation.
2. That the jurisdiction of the said court otherwise shall remain
as now established by law.
