Chap. 132.—An ACT to provide for instruction in the public schools, for
preventing accidents. (S. B. 173.)

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
it shall be the duty of each teacher in the public schools of the Com-
monwealth to devote not less than thirty minutes in each month of
the school session for the purpose of instructing the pupils therein
as to ways and means of proper cbservation so as to prevent acci-
dents. |
2. The superintendent of public instruction shall forthwith pre-
pare, publish and distribute proper information, arranged in chap-
ters or lessons for the guidance of teachers in carrying out the pro-
visions of this act. .
