CHaP. 96.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of the county of
Nottoway to borrow the sum of ten thousand dollars, or so much there-
of as may be necessary, to continue the improvement of the public
roads of the said county.
Approved March 7, 1912.
1. Re it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the board of supervisors of the county of Nottoway, be, and
they are, authorized heréby to borrow the sum of ten thousand
dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, for the pur-
pose of continuing the work of the convict road force and other
road improvements in the said county.
2. The said sum of ten thousand dollars, or so much there-
of, as may be borrowed under the authority of this act, shall be
provided for and paid out of the county levy of said county to be
made for the years nineteen hundred and twelve, -nineteen hund-
red and thirteen, nineteen hundred and fourteen, nineteen hund-
red and fifteen and nineteen hundred and sixteen, or sooner if
the said board of supervisors so elect.
3. An emergency existing, by reason of the fact that un-
less the money provided for in this act can be borrowed at once,
work on the roads in said county will have to be abandoned for
the present, this act shall be in force from its passage.
