CHAP. 337.—An ACT to grant permission to the rector and visitors of the
University of Virginia to have a bronze statue cast of Houdon's statue
of Washington in the rotunda of the capitol.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
permission be and it is granted to the rector and visitors of the
University of Virginia to have a bronze statue cast of Houdon’s
statue of Washington in the rotunda of the capitol at Richmond
for the grounds of the University of Virginia, the same to be
done under the supervision of the rector of the University of Vir-
ginia from the moulds now owned by the State and in the custody

of ne Gorham manufacturing company at Providence, Rhode
sland.
