CHAP. 190.-An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Isle of
Wight county to appropriate money for the erection of a wharf on
Chuckatuck creek,
Approved March 13, 1912.
Whereas, it is necessary for the convenience of those resi-
dents of Isle of Wight county, Virginia, living adjacent to Chuck-
atuck creek to construct a wharf on said ereek and build a road
leading thereto; and,
Whereas, the most accessible, conveinent and desirable place
on said ereek, at which said wharf can be constructed, is located
just across the boundary line of Isle of Wight county in Nanse-
mond county; and,
Whereas, the board of supervisors of Nansemond county have
offered to contribute their just proportion of the expenses of
the construction and maintenance of said wharf; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the board of supervisors of Isle of Wight county be, and it hereby,
is authorized and empowered to appropriate out of the revenue
of said county, a sum not exceeding five thousand dollars to pay
its just proportion of the construction and maintenance of a
wharf on Chuckatuck creek and a road leading thereto, said wharf
and road to be used for the benefit of the citizens of Isle of
Wight county.
2. All acts or parts of acts in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed.
