CHAP. 16.—An ACT to give concurrent jurisdiction to the circuit court
of any county within which is situated any city which has undergone
transition from a city of the second class to a city of the first class
since the present Constitution went into effect, with the corporation
court of such city in al! actions at law and suits in equity until a
separate circuit court for such city shall be established.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the circuit court of any county, within which is situated any city
which has undergone transition from a city of the second class
to a city of the first class since the present Constitution went
into effect, shall have concurrent jurisdiction with the corpora-
tion court of such city in all actions at law and suits in equity
until a separate circuit court for such city shall be established.
2. Inasmuch as the jurisdiction of the court is in doubt
which should be settled promptly, an emergency is hereby de-
clared to exist, and this act shall be in force from its passage.
