Chap. 184.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 1666 of the Code of Vir-
ginia, as heretofore amended. _
Approved March 11, 1908.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, ‘That section
sixteen hundred and sixty-six of the Code of Virginia, as heretofore
amended, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§1666. How money appropriated for or belonging to a hospital is dis-
bursed.—The money received by any bank for the benefit of any hospital
shall be disbursed by checks drawn by the superintendent of the hospital
and approved and countersigned by the chairman of said special board ;
but no check shall be so drawn or approved until the same is authorized
by the said special board of directors by an order entered upon the records
of the hospital: provided, however, that the special board shall, with
the approval of the commissioner of hospitals, deposit in bank a sum
sufficient to pay cash for current monthly purchases for the hospital,
the same to be paid out on the order of the superintendent, counter-
signed by the steward, and accounted for and voucher for same audited
monthly before the special board.
