Chap. 132.—An ACT to authorize the council of the town of Chase City
Mecklenburg county Virginia, to appropriate the sum of $500 or so mu
thereof as may be necessary for the purpose of aiding in the purchase of
1ot in the said town for the Chase City district high school building.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the counc
n the town of Chase City in Mecklenburg county, Virginia, be and
s hereby authorized and empowered to appropriate, out of any fun
f the said town not otherwise appropriated, the sum of five hundr
lollars or so much thereof as may be necessary for the purpose of aidir
n the purchase of a lot in the said town upon which a high scho
uilding for the Chase City school district is to be erected.

2. An emergency existing, in that a lot should be promptly purchasc
n order that the said school building may be erected and ready for tl
ext school session, this act shall be in force from its passage.
