Chap. 75.—An ACT to exempt the Officers and Members of the Lyneh-
burg Hook and Ladder Company and TLose Company, No. 2. or Inde-
pendent Hose Fire Company, froi serving as jurors,

Passed April 23, 1867.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the officers
and members of the Lynchburg hook and ladder company
and hose company, nuntber two, or Independent hose and
hre company, shall be and are hereby exempted from serving
as petit jurors in any case whatever, as long as they continue
to be active officers and members of said company.

2. It shall be the duty of the secretary of each company to
furnish to the sergeant of the city of Lynchburg, at the com-
mencement of each year, a certified list of the members ot

his company: provided, that the first of such lists shall be

furnished as soon after the passaze of this act as practicable.
