Chap. 89.—An' ACT declaring the James River and Kanawha Canal a
Lawful Fence in the County of Nelson.

Passed January 21, 1867.

1. Beit enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the James river and Kanawha canal, within fhe limits of’ the
county of Nelson, be and the same is hereby declared a law-
ful fence: provided, that nothing herein contained shall be
construed to affect the rights and privileges of the James
river and Kanawha company.

2. ‘Bhis act shall be in force from its passage.
