Chap. 82.—An ACT to transfer from the Male Charity School of Frede-
ricksburg, to the Trustees of the Female Charity School, all the property
now owned and possessed by the former.
Passed January 21, 1867.
Whereas the trustees of the Male charity school of Frede-
ricksburg have, by a memorial signed by them, petitioned
the general assembly to transfer the property now held by
them, to the trustees of the Female charity school of Frede-
ricksburg: Therefore,
1. Beit enacted by the general.assembly of Virginia, That
all the real estate, rents, issues, credits, rights and heredita-
ments now owned, possessed and held by the trustees of the
Male charity school of Fredericksburg, be and they are hereby
transferred, assigned and set over from the legal ownership
of the said trustees of the Male charity school, to the legal
ownership of the trustees of the Female charity school of
Fredericksburg.
2. The trustees of the Female charity school of Fredericks-
burg are hereby substituted to all the rights and remedies
which the trustees of the Male charity school of Fredericks-
burg had in, to and over, the property held by them when
this act passed. a, |
3. The trustees of the Femage charity school of Frédericks-
burg are hereby empowered to receive and take possession
of all of said property, and hereafter in its own name to sue
for and recover, and receipt for all rents, interest, issues and
profits arising from and issuing out of said property; it being
the purpose and intent of this act to clothe the said trustees
of the Female charity school of Frederickburg with absolute
ownership over all the property, of whatever nature or de-
scription, now held by the trustees of the Male charity school
of Fredericksburg.
_4, Said trustees of the Female charity school of Fredericks-
burg are to hold said property and the rents and issues thereof
for the same and like trusts, purposes and charitable uses, for
which they were incorporated, and upon which they now
hold thé property possessed by them. | +
5. This act shall be in force from the time said trustees of
the Male charity. school shall enter of record in some court
of the corporation of Fredericksburg their consent to the
provisions of this bill. , e.
