Chap. 31.—An ACT to Amend the second and fifth sections of the Act
incorporating the Petersburg Savings and Insurance Company, passed
March fifteenth, eighteen hundred and sixty.
Passed December 20, 1866.
1., Be it enacted by the general assefibly, That the second
and fifth sections of the q' passed on the fifteenth day of
March, eighteen hu nd sixty, entitled an act incorpo-
rating the Petersbu ings and insurance company, be and
the same are hereby amended and re-enacted so as to read as
follows:
“§ 2. The capital stock of said company shall be one hun-
dred and sixty-eight thousand dollars, divided into eight
thousand four hundred shares, of twenty dolHars each, with
power to increase the same, so-as not to exceed one million
of dollars, when a majority of stockholders in interest, shall
determine so to do. |
“$5. The affairs of said company shall be managed by a
president and twelve directors, being stockholders; five of
‘which dif ctors shall be chosen by the president and direc-
tors now existing; and the board so constituted shall remain
in office until others are elected in their stead, as provided
for in the said section.”
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
