Chap. 34.—An ACT providing mileage to the members of the general assembly,
clerks, officers, and pages of same for attending the reconvening of the general
assembly in the city of Richmond on the l2th day of November, 1902.
Approved December 8, 1902.
Whereas, the constitutional convention enacted an ordinance ¢on-
vening the general assembly in extra session on the fifteenth day of July,
nineteen hundred and two, for the purpose of putting Im operation cer-
tain provisions of the new Constitution : and,
Whereas, the general assembly did convene on the fifteenth da iw of July,
nineteen hundred and two, in obedience to said ordinance, and having
completed the duties prescribed therein, adjourned to reconvene on the
twelfth day of November, nineteen hundred and two, for the purpose of
conforming the statute law to the new Constitution: therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Vireinia, Phat the auditor
af publie accounts be direeted to issue his warrant upon the treasury im
favor of the members of the house of delcgates and the senate. the ser-
eoant-at-armis, thee doorkeepers. the clerks, assistant clerks. committee
clerks. and pages of the said bodies, for mileage at the rate of ten cents
per mite for every nile of necessary travel to and from the place of meet-
ing of the general assembly, to be computed according to the nearest mail
route, for attending the reconvening of the general assembly im the city
ef Richmond on the twelfth dav of November, nineteen hundred and two,
