Chap. 316.—An ACT to authorize John D. Armstrong to erect a dock, pier, or
watch-house upon his oyster ground in James river.
Approved May 20, 1903.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That John D.
Armstrong be, and he is hereby, authorized and empowered to erect a
dock, pier, or watch-house upon the oyster ground rented by him from the
State of Virginia, which said oyster ground i is located in the James river,
in the county of Nansemond, and is between Hofller’s creek and Pig
Point: provided, however, that said dock, pier, or watch-house shall not
obstruct navigation, and ‘shall be subject to the laws of this Common-
wealth governing wharves, docks, or piers erected in the waters of this
State.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
