Chap. 30.—An ACT to provide for the payment of pensioners under the pension
act of April 2. 1902. whose claims were not approved and filed im the oflice of the
auditor of pubhe accounts prior to September 1, 1902.

Whereas, a large mumber of persons who have applied for pensions under
the pension act approved April second, nineteen hundred and two, were
unable to have their applications examined by the pension boards and
approved by the courts in time to have their claims filed in the office of
the auditor of public accounts prior to the first dav of September, nine-
teen hundred and two, and consequently could not be paid their pensions
for the vear nineteen hundred and two: therefore,

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the auditor
of pubhe accounts be, and he hereby is, directed to draw his warrant upon
the treasury in favor of cach of said penstoners whose claims shall have
been approved and filed in his office prior to the first day of January, nine-
teen hundred and three.

This act shall be in force from its passage.
