Chap. 141.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 10 of the charter of the city
of Manchester, approved March 20, 1874.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section ten
of the charter of the city of Manchester, approved March twentieth, eigh-
teen hundred and seventy-four, be amended and re-enacted so as to read
as follows:
§ 10. The mayor shall see that the ordinances of the city council are
faithfully executed and enforced, and that all offenders against or vio-
lators of such ordinances are punished as directed by such ordinance.
He shall, by virtue of his office, possess all the authority in criminal and
civil cases of a justice of the peace of the said city, in addition to the
power given to him by virtue of this act or that may hereafter be given
to him by virtue of any other act of assembly.
2. This act shall take effect July first, nineteen hundred and three.
