Chap. 248.—An ACT to authorize the Blue Ridge Turnpike Company to
construct a Bridge over the Rapidan river, and charge an additional
toll.
- Passed February 27, 1867. .
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That it shall be
lawful for the Blue Ridge turnpike company to construct a
bridge over the Rapidan river at Liberty mills, in the county
of Orange, and charge. an additional toil on all persons, ani-
mals and vehicles crossing said bridge.
2. As soon as the bridge i is completed, said company may
demand and receive such reasonable tolls as the directors of
said company may prescribe: provided, that the rates of toll
shall at all times be subject to the control of the Board of
public works; and the said’ Board may, at any time, regulate
and modify, as they may think proper, the tolls char ged by
said company.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
