Chap. 52.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Augusta county
to issue warrants to pay for building, furnishing the court-house and clerk's
and other offices, and improving the grounds, and to pay interest thereon.
Approved February 8, 1901.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That in paying
for the work of building ‘and furnishing the court-house, clerk's and
other offices and improving the grounds, the board of supervisors of said
county are authorized to issue warrants in such sums as they may deem
advisable, make the same payable out of any county levy then made or
hereafter to be made, as they may deem best, pledge the county for the
payment of such warrants, and to pay interest thereon at a rate not to
exceed five per cent.
2. That this act shall only be held to authorize the issue of such war-
rants for the purposes set out in the first section and not to execed in the
aggregate the sum of forty thousand dollars, and nothing herein contained
shall be construed to change the existing law further than may be ncces-
sary to carry into full effect the objects of said first section.
3. This act shall he in force from its passage.
