Chap. 50.—An ACT to authorize the trustees of the Centennial Baptist church,
of the town of Tappahannock,county of Essex, to sell and convey a certain
lot of land in said town and county.
Approved February 8, 1901.
Whereas the Centennial Baptist church of the town of Tappahannock,
n the county of essex, owns a lot adjoining the church-yard and the
ourt-house square, in the town of Tappahannock, county of Essex, the
aid lot fronting on Queen street and Cross street; and
Whereas the church, through its authorized officers, has authorized the
ale of the said lot; and
Whereas the board of supervisors of Essex county desire to purchase
aid lot for county purposes; and
Whereas the price has been agreed upon between the said Centennial
3aptist church and the said board of supervisors of Essex county:
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the trustees
f the said Centennial Baptist church are hereby authorized to make a
leed conveying the said lot to the board of supervisors of Essex county,
nd their successors in office, to be held by them as the property of Essex
ounty, subject to the laws regulating county property in this Common-
yealth.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
