Chap. 46.—An ACT to define a lawful fence in Orange county.
Approved February 8, 1901.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That in the
county of Orange every fence four and a half feet high (which, if the
fence be on a mound, shall include the mound to the bottom of the ditch),
made of four rails, three planks, or three strands of barbed wire to the
panel, each panel of which shall not exceed ten feet in length, shall be
deemed a lawful fence as to all animals named in section two thousand
and forty-two of the code of Virginia of eighteen hundred and eighty-
seven, whether such animals could ereep through the same or not, with
the same liabilities for and against all such stock as prescribed in said
Code of Virginia of eighteen hundred and eighty-seven.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage,
