Chap. 43.—An ACT to authorize the Richmond, Fredericksburg and Potomac
railroad company to convey certain land situated in Stafford county to the
board of supervisors of Stafford county for a public highway.
Approved February 8, 1901.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the Rich-
mond, Fredericksburg and Potomac railroad company is authorized to
relinquish and convey to the board of supervisors of the county of Staf-
ford and their successors forever, to be used as a public highway, the
strip of land eighty (80) feet in width, running from a point one hun-
dred yards east of the road crossing at Brooke station to the Potomac
river at the mouth of Aquia creck (which said strip of land was acquired
by said railroad company in its original construction), together with a
piece of land at the eastern end of s said strip of ground, containing one
anda half acres, to be held as a public landing.
2. That the board of supervisors of the county of Stafford is authorized
to accept and receive, for the foregoing purposes, said strip of land.
This act shall be in force from its passage.
