Chap. 310.—An ACT to require the board of pharmacy of Virginia to register
as pharmacists certain persons who failed to avail themselves of the re-
quirements of the act of March 3, 1886, as amended by the act of March 3,
1887, and to permit such persons so registered to practice pharmacy in the
state of Virginia as registered pharmacists and without examination.

Whereas certain persons now residing in this state, having had not
less than three years’ practical experience previous to March third.
eighteen hundred and ecighty-nine in compounding the prescriptions of
physicians and dispensing drugs, failed to avail themselves on or before
June first, eighteen hundred and eighty-seven, of the requirements of
sections six and cight of the act of March third, eighteen hundred and
eighty-six, as amended by the act of May six, eighteen hundred and
eighty-seven, thereby forfeiting their right to ‘register under the pro-
v = of said acts; therefore,
Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the board
of [hanmacy of Virginia shall register all persons residing in this state
who shall present ev idence satisfac ‘tory to the said board that they have
had not less than three years’ practical experience previous to March
third, eighteen hundred and eighty-nine in compounding the prescrip-
tions of physicians and dispensing drugs: provided, that said persons
apply for such registration on or hefore the first day of July, nineteen
hundred and one, and not later: and the said persons so applying and
so registered by the said board shall be permitted to practice pharmacy
in this state as registered pharmacists, as if they had stood the examina-
tion as registered pharmacists under sections seventeen hundred and
fifty-six to seventeen hundred and sixty-six, inclusive, of the code of
Virginia, as amended: and the said persons so registered shall be in all
respects subject to all the provisions of said sections, except as to the
examination by said board.
