Chap. 266.—An ACT to authorize the trustees of the Preshyterian church in
the county of Brunswick to dispose of a part of the manse or parsonage
lands in said county and to convey to purchasers thereof a valid title
thereto.
Approved February 16, 1901.
Whereas by deed dated the twenty-third day of February, cightcen
hundred and sixty-five. William W. Talley, attorney for John A. Field,
conveyed to Thomas Flournoy and others, trustees of the Presbyterian
church of Brunswick county, a certain tract of land in said county, to
be used as a manse or parsonage for said church; and
Whereas the said trustees and their successors have, from time to time,
sold and conveyed a part of the said Jand and purchased other lands
more suitable for the purposes of the church; and
Whereas a recent survey of the said manse and parsonage lands dis-
closes the fact that the amount of land now held by said trustees is
eighty-two acres:
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the trus-
tees of the Presbyterian church of Brunswick county be, and they are,
hereby authorized and empowered to sell all of the said lands except
seventy-five acres, and to convey to the purchaser or purchasers thereof by
deed, to be executed by the present trustees of said church, a valid title
to the lands so sold.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
