Chap. 235.—An ACT to exempt certain lands of H. V. Hudson from taxation
by the town of Luray for corporation purposes.
Approved February 15, 1901.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the fol-
lowing-described farming lands, belonging to H. V. Hudson, and which
lie within the corporate limits of the town of Luray, Page county, Vir-
ginia, shall be exempt from taxation for corporation purposes, except for
school and road purposes, by the town council of said town—namely:
beginning at a stone three links north of a marked fence post on the
south edge of the N. M. and S. turnpike road corner to Grove and
brother; thence with their line south three-fourths, west fifty-four and
fifty-six one-hundredths poles to a stone seven links east of a pine tree;
thence south eighty-two, west twelve links, to a stone five links west of
said pine tree corner of A. Broadus heirs; thence with their line and
the line of others south nine and one-half, west eighty-three and threc-
tenths poles to a station in the south line of said corporation; thence with
said line north eighty-seven degrees fifty-five minutes, west fifty poles
to a road; thence with said road north sixty-five and one-half, west
twenty-four and four-tenths poles to a station in the west line of said cor-
poration; thence with said line seventy-six and four-tenths poles to a
fence; thence with the line of the B. B. extension to the town of Luray,
north seventy-eight, east thirteen and eight-tenths poles to a post; thence
north two and one-half, east thirty-one and six-tenths poles to the south
edge of said turnpike road; thence along the south edge of said turnpike
north seventy-six and three-fourths, east sixty-seven and forty-four one-
hundredths poles to the beginning, containing fifty-eight and forty-five
one hundred and sixtieth acres.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
