Chap. 191.—An ACT to permit J. R. Williams, of Campbell county, to regi
ter as a pharmacist without examination, and to practice pharmacy in cé
tain magisterial districts within said county.
Approved February 15, 1901.
Whereas J. R. Williams, Campbell county, Virginia, has had mat
years’ practical experience in the preparation of physicians’ prescriptio!
and in compounding and retailing medicines in this state, and is consi
ered thoroughly qualified and competent for such business; and
Whereas the said J. R. Williams is desirous of conducting a dru,
store and engaging in the said business of compounding and selling dru;
and filling prescriptions within Seneca and Falling river magisteri
districts, Campbell county, Virginia; and
Whereas there is no registered pharmacist or other person qualified ar
authorized by law to compound prescriptions and dispense drugs with.
the said Seneca and Falling river magisterial districts; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That J. R. Wi
liams, of Campbell county, Virginia, be, and he is, hereby authorized ar
empowered to compound, sell and dispense drugs and medicines withi
said Seneca and Falling river magisterial districts, Campbell county, Vi
ginia, so long as there is no registered pharmacist in said magisteri
districts, but no longer.
2. The board of pharmacy of Virginia is hereby authorized ar
directed to register the said J. R. Williams as a pharmacist; said regi
tration, however, being subject to the qualifications set forth in the abor
section; and the said board of pharmacy shall issue to the said J. ]
Williams a certificate of such registration.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
