Chap. 145.—An ACT to allow S. H. Price, treasurer of Bedford county, fu
ther time to collect taxes and levies.

Whereas 8. H. Price, treasurer of Bedford county, has in his han
various tickets for taxes and levies uncollected and due since the ye
eighteen hundred and ninty-six, and prior to the year eighteen hundre
and ninety-nine for which he has accounted; therefore,

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That authori
is hereby given to the said S. H. Price, treasurer as aforesaid, to colle
said tickets for taxes and levies for which he has accounted to the prop
authorities with the same powers of levy and distress that treasure
now have for the collection of current taxes and levies; and this pow
shall continue and extend for one year from the passage of this act.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
