Chap. 167.—An ACT to increase the capital stock of the Fredericksburg
and Gordonsville Railroad Company.
Passed February 6, 1867, *
Be it enacted by the general assembly:
1. The Fredericksburg ‘and Gordonsville railroad company
are hereby authorized and empowered to construct and ex-
tend their road from Orange courthouse to Charlottesville in
Albemarle county.
2. In order to construct said road, and to extend the same
as provided for in ‘the.foregoing section, said company are
hereby empowered to increase.their capital stock in the sum
of one million of dollars; and it is empowered and autho-
rized to borrow a sum of money not to exceed one million
of dollars; and upon a rate of interest not to exceed ten per
centum per annum; and to secure the same so borrowed,
said company are authorized to issue coupon bonds, or regis-
ered bonds, in such sums as the directors of said company
nay deem best, and the president and directors are empow-
red to execute a lien on all their property to secure the
noney so borrowed.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
