Chap. 52.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 7 of an act entitled an act to
incorporate the Portsmouth Dime Savings Bank, approved February 15, 1901,
so as to authorize the said bank to act as agent for individuals and corpora-
tions.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, ‘That section
ven of an act entitled “an act to incorporate the Portsmouth Dime
avings Bank,” approved February fifteenth, nineteen hundred and one,
2 amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 7. The said corporation shall have the power to receive money in
ust and accumulate the same at legal rate of interest, and to allow in-
rest not exceeding the legal rate; to accept and execute trusts of every
scription as fully as a natural person could which may be committed to
id company by any person or persons whatsoever, or by any corporation,
- by order or decree or authority of any court of record, upon such terms
may be agreed upon, provided, or declared in regard thereto; to act as
zent for the purpose of issuing, registering, or countersigning certifi-
ites of stock, bonds, or other evidences of debt of any State, corporation,
sociation, municipality, or public authority on such terms as may be
reed upon; to act as agent for any insurance company, trust company,
‘for any other company or individual ; to lease and rent real estate and
lect rents for the same; to accept from and execute trusts for married
omen in respect to their separate property or estate, and to act as agent
r them in the management, sale, and disposition of their properties.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
