Chap. 11.—An ACT to incorporate the Fincastle Savings Institution.
Passed December 15, 1866.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
Thomas G. Godwin, James M. Carper, Lewis Housman, Jr.,
Green James, Isaac Guggenheimer, H. M. Beckley and E. B.
Luster, and such others as,shall hereafter be associated with
them, be and they are hereby constituted a body corporate,
under the name and style of The Fincastle Savings Institu-
tion, with all the powers, rights and privileges, and subject to
all the responsibilities and duties provided with reference to
savings banks, by existing general laws, except so far as
herein otherwise provided. |
2. The capital stock of said savings institution shall be
not less than twenty thousand de@llars nor more than two
hundred thousand dollars, to be divided into shares of ten
dollars each. .
3. Said savings institution is authorized to guarantee or
insure the payment of bonds, notes, bills and other pecuniary
obligations, and to charge for such guarantee or insurance
such rate of premium as shall bé agreed upon.
4. This act shall be in force from its passage, subject to
modification or repeal, at the pleasure of the general assembly.
