Chap. 105.—An ACT appropriating fifteen thousand dollars for restoring,
repairing and refitting the Institution for the Deaf and Dumb and the
Blind.
Passed -January 26, 1867.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
for the purpose of restoring, repairing and refitting the In-
stitution for the deaf and dumb and the blind, at Staunton,
there be and there is hereby appropriated out of any money
in the treasury of the commonwealth, not otherwise appro-
priated, the sum of fifteen thousand dollars, to be expended
by the direction and under the supervision of the board of
visitors of said institution: provided, that none of the money
hereby appropriated shall be used or expended in the erec-
tion of a residence for the superintendent.’
2. The auditor of public accounts is hereby authorized and
required to issue his warrant or warrants on the treasury for
the same, in the manner that other warrants to the said insti-
tution have been heretofore issued.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
