Chap. 127.—An ACT to validate acknowledgments of deeds of trust taken by
notary publics and justices of the peace who were trustees in said deeds.

Whereas, numerous deeds of trust conveying land in the State of Vir-
nia have been acknowledged before notary publics and justices of the
ace, who were trustees in said deeds; and,
Whereas, much inconvenience and hardship will arise therefrom:
erefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That all certifi-
tes of acknowledgments of deeds of trust heretofore made before and
ttified by such notary publics and justices of the peace, being trustees in
id deeds, shall be held valid and effective in all respects, if otherwise
lid according to the law then in force.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
