Chap. 82.—An ACT to authorize the County Courts to borrow Money.
Passed January 17, 1866.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That it shall be
lawful for any of the counties of this commonwealth, when-
ever it shall be necessary to build courthouses, jails and other
public buildings, or for other county purposes, for the county
court of any such county, after all the acting justices shall
have been summoned for that purpose, and a majority being
present and concurring, to borrow such sums of money as
may be necessary for any of the said purposes, not to exceed
the sum of fifteen thousand dollars; to issue its bond or
bonds therefor: provided, however, that no bonds issued in
pursuance of this act, shall run for a longer period than ten
years.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
