of Powhatan to convey a plot of land forty feet square in the court green of:
the aforesaid county to the Powhatan troop association.

Approved March 3, 1896,

Whereas the Powhatan troop association, a corporation of the state
of Virginia, is authorized to own in fee simple a plot of land in the
court green of Powhatan county for the purpose of erecting a monu-
ment thereon and for no other purpose; therefore,

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the
judge of the county court of Powhatan be, and is hereby, autho-
sized and empowered to convey a plot of land forty feet square in
the court green of the county aforesaid to the Powhatan trooop asso-
ciation.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
