1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
<cetion thirty-nine of chapter one hundred and eighty-four of
the Code of eighteen hundred and sixty be amended and
re-enacted so as to read as follows : |
*§ 99. There shall be chargeable to each county or corpo-
ration such sum as the court thereof may, for services to the
public of the county or corporation, allow to its clerk or to
the sheriff or sergeant attending it.
2. This act shall be in force trom its passave.
