Chap. 34.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3 of chapter 5 of th
Code.
Passed January 8, 1866.
1. Beit enacted by the general assembly, That section thre
of chapter three of the Code, as amended by the act c
February third, eighteen hundred and sixty-three, be amend
ed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
“§ 3. When any citizen of this state, being twenty-on
years of age, shall reside elsewhere, and in good faith becom
the citizen of some other state of this Union, or the citize
or subject of a foreign state or sovereign, he shall not, whil
the citizen of another state, or the citizen or subject of
foreign state or sovereign, be deemed a citizen of this state.
2. This act shall be in force from its passace.
