Chap. 325.—An ACT to authorize the Trustees of Yeates Free Schools to
sell Lands, &c
Passed February 24, 1868.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the trustees of Yeates free schools and other donations on
the east side of Nansemond river, begand are hereby au-
thorized and empowered to sell all the real and personal
estate now belonging to said corporation, and out of the
proceeds pay any debts due by them, and the surplus, if any,
expend for educational purposes in the district prescribed by
the will of John Yeates.
2. That the sales shall be one-fifth cash, and the balance
in one, two, three, four and five years credit, with interest
from date, secured by good personal security and a lien on
the property sold. ‘
That the said trustees shall, once in every two years or
oftener, make a report to the circuit court of their trans-
actions, to be confirmed by said court, or to take such other
proceedings in the case th: it may be proper.
4.° That the said corporation shall have power to make all
proper deeds tor land sold under this act.
# This act shail be in force from and after its passage.
