Chap. 318.—Au ACT incorporating the Christiansburg Savings
Institution.
Passed March 3, 1866.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That John Gard-
ner, Robert A. Miller, H. W. Shields, C. B. Gardner, Geor ge
Gx. Junkin, Andrew J. Lucas and lice D. Montague, together
with such other persons as are now associated with them, or
may hereafter be associated with them, shall be and they are
hereby constituted and made a body politic and corporate,
by the name and style of The Christiansburg Savings Insti-
tution; and by this name, they are hereby inv ested with all
the rights, powers and privileges conferred, and made subject
to all the rules, regulations and restrictions imposed by the
Code of Virginia, regulating savings institutions: provided,
however, that the members of svid- sav ings Institution shall
have power to appoint their own directory at their first meet-
ing under this act; but all elections thercatter to be made
shall be in conformity to the provisions of the before cited
act.
2, And be it further enacted, That the capital stock of
said savings institution may at any time be increased to any
amount not exceeding one hundred thousand dollars,
3. This act shall be in force from the passage thereof.
