Chap. 315.—An ACT to incorporate the Rockbridge Savings Institution,
at Lexington, Virginia.
Passed February 23, 1866.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That J. W. Mas-
sie, F. H. Smith, A. Graham, J. H. Myers, and such others
as may be hereafter associated under this act with them, be
and they are hereby constituted a body corporate, under the
name and style of The Rockbridge Savings Institution, at
Lexington, Virginia; with all the powers, rights and privi-
leges, and subject to all the responsibilities and duties pro-
vided with reference to savings banks by existing general
laws, except so far as hereinafter provided.
2. The capital stock of said savings institution shall be
fixed at twenty thousand dollars, to be divided into shares
of ten dollars each. : :
3. This act shall be in force from its passage; subject to
modification or repeal, at the pleasure of the general as-
sembly. ‘
