Chap. 290.—An ACT authorizing the County Court of Lee County to
authorize William R. Graham of said County to construct a Dam across
Powell’s River,
Pasaed December 18, 1865.
1, Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the county
court of the county of Lec—all the magistrates of said county
having been summoned for this purpose, and the majority
thereof being present—be and they are hereby authorized
and empowered to grant leave to William R. Graham, of said
county, to construct a grist and saw mill dam across Powell's
river in said county, if in their opinion it shall be to the inte-
rest of the citizens of said county to have the said dam con-
structed; and said dam, when constructed, shall be subject
to all the provisions of chapter sixty-three of the Code of
Virginia, applicable thereto.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage, and shall be
subject to moditication, amendment or repeal, at the pleasure
of the general assembly.
