Chap. 289.—An ACT to amend and re-enact the first section of an act
entitled an act to Incorporate Tanners Creek Draw Bridge Company,
and for other purposes, passed February 7, E865,
Passed Deecriler 14, 1505,
1. De it enacted by the general assembly, That the first
section of an act entitled an act to ineorporate Tanner's
ereek draw bridge company. and for other purposes, passed
February seventh, cighteen hundred and sixty-tive, be
amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows :
“Od. Be it enacted ly the general assembly, That it: shail
be lawful to open books of subscription to an amount not
exceeding ten thousand dollars, in shares of one hundred
dollars each, for constructing a br idee, with a suitable draw,
not less than twenty-six feet wide in the clear, across Tan-
ners creek, in the county of Norfolk, from the lands of
Wilham Hl. Palbot on the north, to the Iands Michael Ten-
dren on the south, or from and to such other point or points
in the vicinity of Sich lands as may be deemed suitable. The
said books shall be opened in the city of Noriolk, or at. such
other pine eas may be clesignated by any three of the coim-
missioner s hereinatter named, der the superintendence of
William ‘PT. Elarrison, EK. A. Snead Wilham It. Jones, IL. W.
Webb, Join T. Pumphrey, Wilham UW. Talbot, James H.
Powell, A. TL. Hill and A. J. Denby, or any three of them,
who are authorized to appoint other commissioners to act at
such other place or places as they may direct.”
